COURSE OVERVIEW
Pregnancy and postpartum are two of the most significant physical transitions a woman will experience, yet many Pilates instructors leave their initial qualification without the confidence to safely support clients through them.
The reality is that Pilates is an unregulated industry, meaning the depth and quality of pre and postnatal education can vary enormously. At The Clubhouse Academy, we believe every woman deserves to feel safe, understood and confidently supported when she walks into a Pilates class. That starts with the education of the instructor leading it.
This Level 3 CPD has been created to help raise that standard.
Designed for qualified Pilates instructors, this evidence informed course combines anatomy, physiology and practical coaching to help you confidently support women through every stage of pregnancy and postnatal recovery.
Rather than relying on outdated rules or memorised exercise lists, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of how the pregnant and postnatal body changes, how those changes influence movement, and how to adapt your teaching to meet every client’s individual needs.
This course is about more than gaining another certificate.
It’s about becoming the instructor clients trust because they know they’re in safe hands. It’s about replacing uncertainty with confidence, understanding when to modify, when to progress, when to refer, and creating an environment where women feel empowered to move throughout pregnancy and beyond.
Through a combination of self paced online learning and an immersive practical training day, you’ll leave with the knowledge, confidence and practical coaching skills to immediately implement everything you’ve learned into your own classes.
Throughout the course you’ll learn how to:
• Understand the physiological changes that occur throughout pregnancy and postpartum
• Teach the core and pelvic floor with confidence
• Recognise and manage diastasis recti appropriately
• Safely modify and progress exercises across every trimester
• Support clients during postnatal recovery and return to exercise
• Programme effective, evidence informed prenatal and postnatal Pilates classes
• Recognise red flags and understand when referral is appropriate
• Coach with clear, practical teaching cues that clients understand
The course is delivered through self paced online learning, giving you one month to complete the theory before attending an in person practical training day where we’ll bring the content to life through movement, teaching practice and real world application.
By the end of the course, you’ll have the knowledge, confidence and practical tools to safely support pre and postnatal clients while staying firmly within your professional scope of practice.
Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a Level 3 CPD Certificate, recognising your commitment to continuing professional development and to delivering safe, evidence informed Pilates for pre and postnatal clients.

WHO IT’S FOR
This course is designed for qualified Pilates instructors who want to confidently support women through pregnancy and postpartum.
Whether you’ve recently qualified, have been teaching for years, or completed pre and postnatal training in the past and want to refresh your knowledge with current evidence, this course will give you the confidence to coach with clarity.
If you’ve ever found yourself second guessing modifications, avoiding pregnant clients through fear of getting it wrong, or wanting to provide a higher standard of care than your initial qualification prepared you for, this course was created for you.
You’ll leave not only with practical skills you can apply immediately, but with the confidence to become the instructor women trust during one of the most important stages of their lives.
BUILD YOUR KNOWLEDGE BASE
Four to six hours of structured pre-reading covering the anatomy, physiology, and evidence behind safe pre and postnatal movement. Work through it at your own pace before the training day, everything on the day builds on what you read here.
APPLY IT IN PRACTICE
A four-hour in-person training day in Heaton, Newcastle on 2nd August. You will watch, practise, and receive direct feedback on your teaching in a small group setting. This is not a lecture, it is a practical day designed to close the gap between knowing and doing.
TEACH WITH PRECISION
Learn to screen prenatal and postnatal clients, structure a class for their specific stage, modify exercises in real time, and use cueing language that is clear and safe. Leave with an exercise modification cheat sheet you can use in class from day one.
KNOW YOUR SCOPE
Understand exactly what falls within your role as an instructor, when and who to refer to, and how to handle common in-class scenarios with confidence. No more second-guessing. Just clear, informed, evidence-based teaching.

Founder, The Clubhouse & The Clubhouse Academy
When I qualified as a Pilates instructor, I quickly realised there was a huge gap between holding a qualification and feeling truly confident teaching, especially pre and postnatal clients. I wanted practical education that explained not only what to do, but why.
Since then, I've taught hundreds of women through pregnancy, postpartum and beyond, building The Clubhouse into a community centred around helping women move with confidence at every stage of life. Every class has reinforced the same belief: good teaching comes from understanding the body, not memorising modifications.
That philosophy became the foundation of The Clubhouse Academy. Every course is designed to understand anatomy, translate current evidence into practical coaching, and give instructors the confidence to make safe, informed decisions in real classes.
Whether you're newly qualified or looking to specialise, my goal is simple: to help you become the instructor your clients trust throughout pregnancy, postpartum and beyond.
